stayed here before and it was great, but this time it exceeded my expectations. The historic building, friendly reception, and spacious studio room with a fully equipped kitchen were charming and comfortable. The location by the river and walking distance to the city center was perfect. Peter, the owner, was super friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this hotel!

The view of the river was mind-blowing and the apartment itself was so beautiful. We loved taking the ferry to explore the other side and going on a bike tour around the Deventer region. The walking and cycling paths were so well maintained, it made exploring the area so much fun!
The only thing we wished for was more fun activities for young people like us. It would have been awesome to have a nightclub or a cool bar nearby to hang out and have a great time after a long day of exploring.

The location of this hotel is great, just at the edge of the pedestrian area of the medieval city center. It's extremely convenient, especially if you want to take the ferry to the beach on the other side of the river. The staff at this hotel were perfect, always helpful and friendly. The rooms were pretty big with a fully equipped kitchen, a nice large bathroom, and a comfortable living room area with a TV. The basic amenities provided were adequate and the breakfast, although a bit overpriced, was plentiful and nice.
All in all, everything was more than okay.

Spacious split level studio with river view. Well-equipped kitchen with large fridge. Steep and narrow stairs may present challenges for those with heavy luggage. Convenient location on the edge of the pedestrian area. Comfortable and exciting old Dutch apartment feel. Great choice for both business and leisure stays. Hospitable staff. All facilities for long term stay. Supermarket nearby. Ideal loft with sofa, TV, and kitchen. Friendly and helpful host.

Great location and the beds were pretty comfy. The business center was also a good resource for my work.
The staff didn't seem to know what was going on. I reserved a room with two beds and when I got to the room, there was only one bed.

the split level studio room I rented was spacious and had a lovely view of the river. the kitchen was well-equipped, including a larger than normal fridge. the top floor location in an old Dutch building added to the charm, but be aware that the steep and narrow steps may be challenging if you have large and heavy luggage. The friendly reception and convenient location made my stay enjoyable, and I would definitely choose to stay at De Vischpoorte, Hartje in the future. Cons: Nothing to dislike. 😊.
